SEMO Coach Hospitalized Following Car Accident

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 1, 2009 – Southeast Missouri State University’s head women's basketball Coach John Ishee was involved in an automobile accident early Sunday morning in St Louis County.

According to Southeast Athletic Director John Shafer, Coach Ishee was injured and is hospitalized in St. Louis. “He is being held for observation and testing for the next 48 hours. He was able to visit with his staff Sunday afternoon,” said Shafer.

Assistant Coach Chris Harris will handle the head coaching duties for the game at Tennessee State University on Tuesday, Shafer said. The University will release more information as it becomes available.
