Southeast Missouri will Sponsor a Live Television Broadcast of the Redhawks Football Game at Jacksonville State

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Southeast Missouri State University will present a live television broadcast of the ninth-ranked Redhawks Ohio Valley Conference clash at No. 2 Jacksonville State on Nov. 13. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m., CT, at Paul Snow Memorial Stadium.
Southeast will partner with KFVS to televise the game in the Cape Girardeau /Paducah/Harrisburg market, reaching approximately 400,000 households. It will be aired live on the Heartland’s CW (WQWQ-TV) which is available over the air on channel 12.2, channel 12 on Charter Cable, (additional cable system channel listings can be found at heartlandscw.com) and channel 9 on DirecTV and Dish Network. The game is also scheduled to be available as a free video stream online at KFVS12.com.
“The Southeast Missouri State University fans have been great this season, and although we have a group of fans going down to Jacksonville to watch the game in person, we wanted to make sure the rest of our fans get the opportunity to see the Redhawks in action,” said Southeast President Dr. Ken Dobbins. “Working with KFVS12 to sponsor this live broadcast is a great way to keep our football fans connected to the team and to get the word out to the general public about what a great University Southeast is!”
The Jacksonville State game will mark the fourth time Southeast will be on television this season. The Heartland’s CW also carried the Murray State (Sept. 11), Eastern Illinois (Oct. 2) and Austin Peay (Oct. 16) match-ups, all Redhawk victories. In addition, all Redhawk home games this season have been WebCast free at KFVS12.com.
“We are all excited about this opportunity to play for the OVC Football Championship and we are glad that Redhawk fans throughout the region and across the world will be able to watch the game on The Heartland’s CW and on the internet at KFVS12.com,” added Southeast Director of Athletics John Shafer. “Our partnership with KFVS12 and The Heartland’s CW is one that we truly appreciate and we look forward to future opportunities to work together.”
“We’re thrilled to be able to provide this game to fans who can’t travel to Alabama in person,” said Mike Smythe, KFVS12 Vice President and General Manager. “But most of the credit goes to President Dobbins and Southeast University for stepping up to sponsor the broadcast.”
WQWQ-TV is the CW Network affiliate serving the Cape Girardeau, Paducah, Harrisburg television market, and is a free broadcast service of Raycom Media, Inc. WQWQ is operated by KFVS12, the CBS Network affiliate serving the same market, along with KFVS12.com, and The StormTeam Weather Network.
