OVC Softball Tournament Is Set

2009 OVC Softball Tournament Field Set

The 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Softball Tournament field is set. Jacksonville State earned the top seed and the right to host the three-day event while Southeast Missouri is the second seed. With the top two seeds, the Gamecocks and the Redhawks receive first round byes. Morehead State is the third seed followed by UT Martin, Tennessee Tech and Eastern Illinois.

Redhawks fans have to feel confident...The team is soaring with a 14 game win streak.

THURSDAY, MAY 7 – Jacksonville, Ala.
Game 1 - #3 Morehead State vs. #6 Eastern Illinois – 10:00 a.m.
Game 2 - #4 UT Martin vs. #5 Tennessee Tech – 12:30 p.m.
Game 3 - #2 Southeast Missouri vs. Game 1 winner – 3:00 p.m.
Game 4 - #1 Jacksonville State vs. Game 2 winner – 5:30 p.m.

FRIDAY, MAY 8 – Jacksonville, Ala.
Game 5 – Game 2 loser vs. Game 3 loser – 10:00 a.m.
Game 6 – Game 1 loser vs. Game 4 loser – 12:30 p.m.
Game 7 – Game 4 winner vs. Game 3 winner – 3:00 p.m.
Game 8 – Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner – 5:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, MAY 9 – Jacksonville, Ala.
Game 9 – Game 7 loser vs. Game 8 winner – 10:00 a.m.
Game 10 – Game 7 winner vs. Game 9 winner – 12:30 p.m.
