Former Southern Illinois Saluki basketball player Nick Evans was arrested early Saturday morning.
According to the Carbondale police department Evans was is being charged with criminal trespassing, resisting a police officer and aggravated battery to a police officer. He is currently being held in the Jackson county jail.
Police were investigating a trespassing complaint at 700 East Grande around 2:00 am Monday morning in Carbondale.
Evans, a sophomore center, left the saluki program late this past season. he averaged five points, three boards and 16 minutes a game this past season.

What a shame, I feel that his reunion with Coach Watson at USI could have been something special. Ohh well....
