A.J. Ellis optioned to AAA

Southeast Missouri Native A.J. Ellis, a catcher with the LA Dodgers, was optioned back to triple -A- Albuquerque. Ellis was hitting 204 with 8 R .B.I. and three runs scored.
He spent his first eleven years growing up in Jackson, MO.

Last weekend the LA Dodgers trio with Heartland ties (A.J Ellis, Blake DeWitt and Jamey Carroll) were in St. Louis playing the Cardinals.
Rusty Hendricks, one of our KFVS Sports interns, caught up with the trio and put together a feature story.

Kudos to Rusty for a job well done....A great effort for his first "package".
Package is a television news term which describes a story containing a reporters voice track and interviews (A-roll) and video (b-roll). It's all put together in a nice neat package running about a minute and thirty seconds.
