Saturday SEMO Men's basketball scrimmage

Before heading over to the SEMO football game Saturday against Austin Peay Redhawks fans can take a look at the men's basketball team.  The intrasquad scrimmage begins at 10:30 am.

I am anxious to see former Sikeston star Michael Porter on the court...Most are expecting big things from him this season.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Get a sneak peek at the 2011-12 Southeast Missouri men's basketball team when it holds its first live intrasquad scrimmage Saturday. The scrimmage is set for 10:30 a.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

Southeast, which officially began practice on Oct. 14, tips off its season at Missouri on Nov. 11.

Jackson native Grant Ressel battling to remain Mizzou starter

Former Jackson Indian Grant Ressel, the one time All-American kicker at Mizzou, now finds himself in a battle to remain the starter.

Ressel and junior Trey Barrow are now listed at the top of the Missouri Tigers depth chart.

Ressel has struggled this season making only seven of  thirteen field goals (he's missed four of his last five).
The drop off has been staggering after Grant missed only three his first two seasons in Columbia (making 43 of 46).

"I think first of all he is a great kid and he's been through a difficult time", said head coach Gary Pinkel. "He hasn't fixed it yet and we'll deal with him internally."
